Our Story

A LIFE BUILT WITH PURPOSE.

Our family. Our faith. The life we're building together.

We're the Berger family, living and building our little life in the Flathead Valley of Montana, right outside of Glacier National Park.

Like many families, our story hasn't followed a perfectly planned path. It's been shaped by unexpected turns, changing priorities, hard decisions, new beginnings, and a growing understanding of what we want our lives to stand for.

We haven't always known exactly where we were headed, but over time, one thing became increasingly clear: we wanted something different. Not necessarily an easier life, but a more intentional one. A life where our time, our work, and the things we were building reflected what mattered most to us.

And that desire has shaped just about everything we do today.

SOMETIMES LIFE CALLS YOU IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION.

For Samantha, that journey began more than a decade ago.

Health challenges became an unexpected turning point, prompting a deeper look at how we nourish our bodies, care for our homes, and approach everyday living. What began as a personal journey grew into a passion for holistic health, nutrition, natural living, and understanding the ingredients and products we bring into our homes, and put in and on our bodies.

It also sparked an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to create something of her own.

Then came motherhood, and with it, an entirely new perspective.

Samantha knew she wanted to be present for her children's childhood. She wanted to be home, to homeschool, to be involved in the everyday learning that happens outside of a classroom, and to build a life where work could fit around family rather than family continually having to fit around work.

The way she had worked before no longer aligned with the life she envisioned.

Her passion for holistic health and natural living eventually became the inspiration behind creating products for our own home. Rather than continually searching for products that aligned with our values, she wanted to make them herself.

Simple, thoughtfully made creations using ingredients she could recognize, understand, and trust. Products that made use of what nature provides and reflected the way we wanted to care for our bodies, our home, our environment, and our family.

What started as a personal pursuit became Wyld Wellness, growing alongside our little family farm.

For Zach, the turning point looked a little different.

After investing countless hours into building someone else's businesses in the corporate world for over a decade, he reached a point where he began questioning what all that hard work was ultimately building.

There's a difference between working long hours and feeling that your efforts are being properly valued. And there's a difference between working tirelessly toward someone else's vision while rarely being home and putting that same dedication into something you're building for your own family.

He wanted more ownership over his work, his time, and the future he was helping create.

That decision led him to step away from the corporate world and pursue his own path through ZWB Flooring.

It wasn't necessarily the easier route. Building a business comes with its own challenges, uncertainties, and long days. But there is something meaningful about putting your hands to work on something you believe in and knowing that the effort you're investing is helping build something of your own.

Two different journeys. Two turning points. One shared vision.

To build something meaningful together.

THE CHILDHOOD WE WANT TO GIVE OUR CHILDREN.

If there's one thing that sits at the heart of the life we're building, it's this: we want our children to remember their childhood.

Not just the big milestones, vacations, or special occasions, but the ordinary days that make up a life.

We want them to remember learning alongside us in the garden. Planting seeds, watching things grow, harvesting what we've worked hard to cultivate, and understanding where their food comes from.

We want them to remember home-cooked meals made from scratch, the kitchen filled with the smells of something simmering on the stove, and the satisfaction of preparing food with ingredients we've grown, gathered, or thoughtfully sourced.

We want them to understand the work and intention that goes into feeding a family. The hours spent preserving the harvest, canning, drying, freezing, fermenting, and filling our pantry for the seasons ahead. The excitement of a successful hunt, the patience of time spent in the field, and the responsibility that comes with providing and making use of what the land and seasons offer.

We want them to be part of all of it. Gathering eggs, tending chickens, preparing a meal, putting food away for winter, and learning that nourishment doesn't simply appear on a grocery store shelf. It comes from the land, from hard work, from patience, and from the hands of those who provide it.

We want them to develop an appreciation for the entire process, from seed to table and field to freezer. To understand the value of a harvest, the responsibility of using what we've been given, and the gratitude that comes from knowing the work behind a meal.

We want them to see their parents building businesses, solving problems, learning new skills, making things from scratch, and finding purpose in the work of their hands. We want them to understand you’ve gotta get your hands dirty to to appreciate being a part of the work that keeps our home and little homestead going.

We want them to know that learning doesn't only happen at a desk, that some of life's greatest lessons are found in the everyday moments, and that being part of a family means contributing, growing, and learning together.

Most of all, we want them to remember that we were there.

Fully present. Alongside them. In the middle of it all.

We want to give them the kind of childhood where curiosity is encouraged, practical skills are learned naturally, time outside is treasured, and there's room to explore, make mistakes, ask questions, and discover the world around them.

We know we won't get every moment right. But we hope that when they look back, they see a family that chose to build a life with them at the center of it.

We didn't build these businesses just to make a living. We wanted to build a life our children could actually live alongside us.

A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE LAND.

Our homesteading journey has become another meaningful part of that vision.

What started with a desire to grow some of our own food has grown into a deeper appreciation for the land, the seasons, and the work involved in providing for ourselves.

We love the connection that comes from knowing where our food comes from, growing things with our own hands, tending animals, learning traditional skills, and finding ways to make use of what we have.

Our garden has become more than a place to grow vegetables. It's a place of discovery, patience, responsibility, and countless learning opportunities for our children.

Our home has become a place where we're continually experimenting, creating, preserving, making, and learning.

We're not a picture-perfect homestead, and we're not trying to be.

We're a family with a little piece of Montana, a garden that keeps us busy, animals that need tending, projects that never seem to end, and plenty of things we're still figuring out.

And we wouldn't trade the learning that comes with it.

We believe there's value in knowing how to grow something, make something, mend something, and care for what has been entrusted to us. These are skills and values we hope our children carry with them long after they've grown.

THE WORK OF OUR HANDS.

Each of our businesses represents a different part of the life we're building.

Montana Cleaning Specialists grew from a foundation of professional cleaning experience and a desire to serve others through dependable, quality work.

ZWB Flooring represents craftsmanship, independence, and the satisfaction of building something through dedication and skill.

Berger Family Farm and Wyld Wellness reflect our love for nature, holistic living, traditional practices, and creating useful things for our home and others.

They may look like very different pursuits from the outside, but to us, they share the same foundation.

We believe in honest work. In creating things with care. In serving others well. In being resourceful and intentional with what we've been given.

We believe there's dignity in the work of our hands, whether that's caring for someone's home, creating a beautiful floor, tending a garden, or making something from scratch.

And we believe that building something meaningful doesn't have to look the same for every family.

For us, it looks like this.

FAITH, STEWARDSHIP & THE LIFE WE'RE CALLED TO LIVE.

Our faith in Jesus Christ is at the center of our family and the foundation of how we hope to live.

We believe our time, our talents, our resources, and the opportunities we're given are things to steward well.

That belief influences how we approach our businesses, how we care for our home, how we raise our children, and how we hope to serve the people around us.

We don't believe faith is only expressed through what we say. We believe it's also reflected in how we live, how we treat others, the care we put into our work, and the things we choose to prioritize.

Our hope is that the presence of the Holy Spirit is evident in the way we build, create, serve, and care for what God has entrusted to us.

We're continually learning what it means to be good stewards, to lead our family with intention, and to use what we've been given for something greater than ourselves.

We don't have all the answers, and we know this journey will continue to change as our family grows.

But we want the foundation to remain the same.

Faith before everything. Family at the heart. Purpose in the work.

STILL GROWING. STILL LEARNING. STILL BUILDING.

We don't have a perfectly mapped-out picture of what the future looks like.

We have dreams, ideas, plans that change, businesses that grow, gardens that teach us patience, and children who remind us every day how quickly time passes.

We're building as we go, learning along the way, and making room for the seasons of life as they come.

Our hope is that Berger Family Living becomes more than a name that connects our businesses. We hope it represents the values behind them and the life we're working to create.

A life where our work has meaning, our home is a place of hospitality, our children feel deeply rooted, and the things we create bring something good into the lives of others.

A life that isn't measured only by what we've accomplished or accumulated, but by the time we've shared, the people we've served, the things we've learned, and the legacy we're leaving behind.

Because ultimately, this has never just been about building businesses. It's about building a life worth remembering.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

With love,

The Berger Family

Rooted in faith. Growing together. Living intentionally.
